Distance and starting point
Official tourism information places the Bourail coast roughly 162 km from central Nouméa and 117 km from La Tontouta international airport. It describes the road journey from Nouméa as approximately two hours via the RT1.
Use those figures as route context, not a promise. Collection point, stops, road conditions and the exact accommodation address all affect the journey.
Travelling by car
A rental car is the most practical option if you want to combine Bourail town, Roche Percée, Poé and Domaine de Déva. Confirm where the car is collected and returned, especially if you arrive at the airport rather than staying in Nouméa first.
Download your accommodation address and directions before departure. A Bourail postal address may still be some distance from the part of the destination you plan to use most.
Compare the full rental conditions rather than only the headline rate: airport or city collection, opening hours around the flight, deposit, driver requirements, mileage and permission for the route you plan. Sud Tourisme’s official sales platform currently includes a car-rental category; global comparison inventory for New Caledonia was not consistent enough in this review to recommend one as the default.

Pre-booked shuttle and transfer services operate between Bourail, Nouméa and La Tontouta airport. Confirm the exact collection point, luggage arrangements and final drop-off before booking.
RAÏ operates a regular intercity coach between Nouméa and Bourail. Check the official timetable for your date; once in Bourail, reaching Poé, Déva and the coast still requires a separate plan.

Plan the final journey
Arrival in Bourail is not the end of the transport question. Poé, Déva and Roche Percée are separate areas. Match your base to the places you actually intend to visit.
